Doctoral degree in Psychology, Education, or related field OR Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field, and three years of experience in implementing psychological and educational assessments with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Two years experience managing and tracking the implementation of assessment protocols in research projects.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines as evidenced by application materials.

Position Overview:The Life Span Institute is seeking a Clinical Research Assessment Specialist to conduct clinical, psychological, and educational assessments for research projects at the Life Span Institute focused on intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position will support the implementation of state-of-the-art measurement strategies for quantifying the characteristics and support needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities participating in research projects as well as tracking outcomes of participants in research projects. This position will support multiple projects and project teams to objectively identify participants who meet inclusion/exclusion criteria, establish diagnoses of participants, track outcomes using established research protocols, consult on the development of assessment protocols for planned studies, and support the training of study team members on assessment implementation, scoring, and interpretation.The Clinical Research Assessment Specialist will work in a team setting with latitude, coordinating across multiple projects and investigators, implementing multiple assessment protocols, and training other team members and monitoring implementation. This person also will promote their support services to research teams at KU and KUMC as they seek to increase the number of projects that they are involved with.
