The Buyer/Planner is responsible for end-to-end material planning and procurement for assigned suppliers and product categories. This role ensures product availability through accurate forecasting, purchasing, and inventory management, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesForecasting & PlanningAnalyze demand requirements and develop accurate forecasts for assigned materialsIdentify supply needs and proactively manage inventory levels (units and dollar value)Monitor trends and adjust plans to ensure uninterrupted product availabilityProcurement & Supplier ManagementIssue and manage purchase orders to assigned suppliersOwn full lifecycle responsibility for designated materials and supplier accountsTrack order status and ensure on-time delivery and fulfillmentInventory & Supply ManagementMaintain optimal inventory levels to balance availability and financial targetsMonitor piece counts and inventory value to support business objectivesResolve supply constraints and escalate issues with a strong sense of urgencyCustomer & Supplier SupportProvide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and external suppliersAct as primary point of contact for assigned supplier baseBuild and maintain strong, effective supplier relationshipsExecution & Follow-UpEnsure thorough and consistent follow-up on all orders, issues, and commitmentsDrive timely resolution of supply gaps, delays, and discrepanciesOperate with a proactive, results-driven mindset
