This position will be in Overland Park, KS Primary Responsibilities:

Provide contract support (project focused) to various business functions.

Manage, train and mentor Contracts team. Develop new processes and reevaluate current processes for continuous improvement opportunities. Assign Contracts team to support projects.

Develop new process documents, work instructions, and templates to provide contract/subcontract support to business.

Serve as escalation point of contact for Contract team. Draft terms and conditions and clauses to capture Prime Contract requirements, legal requirements, and best business practices.

Ensure implementation of and team adherence to sound contract management and risk assessment policies.

Negotiate difficult and complex contractual issues.

Draft, analyze, interpret, and develop contract terms and conditions.

Ability to multi-task on a large number of complex contract issues.

Ability to deploy and gain acceptance of new approaches and objectives.

Deploy training on terms and conditions, corporate policies and risk mitigation.

Develop and update standard contract documentation and templates.

Advise and assist management team in opportunity/risk assessment and escalate as necessary.

You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline.

At least 7 years relevant contract administration/management experience.

JD or MBA preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain DOE "Q" level security clearance.

Knowledgeable in Government contracting and regulations, FAR/DEAR, etc.

Commercial contracting and procurement experience including Intellectual Property, Export Control, and Uniform Commercial Code requirements.

Strong working knowledge of procurement contract administration including legal, procurement, accounting requirements, and supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

Six Sigma Greenbelt certification desirable.
