This role is based in the 22701 West 68th Terrace, Suite 100, Shawnee, KS 66226, USA office The Director of Content will drive content strategy and operations across Data Center World events and AFCOM, our premier professional association serving individuals and organizations in the data center industry since 1980. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a content leader with technology sector expertise to capitalize on the data center industry's explosive growth domestically and internationally. This is a hybrid role and is open to candidates in any Informa office location. Key ResponsibilitiesConference Program Development and ManagementCreate comprehensive agendas for Data Center World and Data Center World POWER conferencesDevelop compelling themes, tracks, and core topics addressing industry challenges including power sourcing, sustainability, and AI-driven infrastructureRecruit and manage high-caliber speakersManage conference advisory boards – composed of key stakeholders and industry leaders – to provide insights, guidance, and support for organizational initiatives.Support all program elements during eventsGlobal ExpansionPartner with the Event Director and leadership team to strategically expand Data Center World's international footprintIdentify emerging markets and opportunities for growthAFCOM Leadership: In collaboration with the the Association Manager,Drive membership growth and chapter expansionImplement organizational efficienciesProduce engaging content that advances the careers of data center and IT infrastructure professionalsSupport AFCOM's mission of serving professionals who design, build, operate, and manage data centersManage team including contractors Industry and End-User RelationshipsCollaborate with Event Director to cultivate partnerships with industry groups and end-user audiences to deepen engagement, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment with their needs and priorities.Represent the brand at industry events and functionsBuild relationships with key technology providers and solution partnersResearch and Thought LeadershipCoordinate and oversee development of the annual State of the Data Center researchIdentify emerging trends and disruptive technologies affecting the industryCross-Functional CollaborationSupport the sales team with strategic account acquisitionAdvise marketing on positioning events to the full professional ecosystemDevelop compelling content strategies aimed at audience development and lead generation, leveraging data-driven approaches to maximize reach and impact.Collaborate with a strategic PR agency to design and execute earned media strategies that amplify brand visibility, enhance reputation, and drive audience engagement.Work with digital teams to optimize content delivery across multiple channels
