Description We are working with a leading manufacturing company here in the Overland Park area as they look to add an Operations Controller to their team. We are seeking experienced Operations Controllers to join their team and play a key role in driving financial performance and operational efficiency.Job Summary: As the Operations Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in providing financial leadership, analysis, and support to the operations team, as well as driving process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with specific experience in manufacturing operations. Oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the manufacturing facility.

Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance analysis and trend reporting.

Partner with operations leadership to develop annual operating budgets and forecasts, and monitor performance against targets.

Provide financial analysis and decision support for capital investments, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvement projects.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing operations, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Lead the annual physical inventory process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, and engineering, to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements, including tax filings, audits, and government reporting.

Supervise and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role within the Paper/Packaging industry

Proficiency in handling Unauthorized Deductions Experience in preparing and managing Annual Operating Budgets Proven track record in executing Month End Close procedures Strong skills in Financial Reporting Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Exceptional leadership skills and ability to manage a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software.
