Implementation Engineers for the NIC Division of Tyler Technologies must be able to effectively translate business needs into technical reality. They must be adept at utilizing technology and software development techniques to implement a new leading-edge SaaS platform by collaborating closely with business stakeholders and the larger implementation team. Additionally, they must be experts in understanding requirements to translate them into technical solutions that align with our SaaS platform capabilities. Implementation Engineers are innovative thinkers who can solve technical challenges with creativity and perseverance. They are experienced with full life cycle Java development, have a deep understanding of mid-tier system processing, AWS cloud development and hosting, and a strong knowledge of SQL.

LocationOlathe, KansasResponsibilities- Work as part of a fast-paced team to perform object-oriented application development using proprietary SaaS platform as the foundation
- Analyze functional requirements and troubleshoot application code issues utilizing proprietary software, tools, and technologies
- Work closely with other team members and collaborate effectively with clients to implement, enhance, and create fixes to SaaS applications
- Deliver high-quality software that will meet or exceed client expectations
- Communicate technical and non-technical information clearly, answer technical questions from customers, and be able to provide efficient technical solutions to problems
- Design, document, integrate and migrate customer data and validate relational databases
- Identify, develop, and document business requirements, technical requirements, and functional design
- Conduct QA activities to validate completed work and work closely with the QA team
- Develop and administer necessary scripts to support software configuration
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of experience in developing or supporting web applications with a strong knowledge of Java/SpringBoot, JavaScript/ReactJS, REST API, PostgreSQL, and SQL Scripting along with other open standards technologies (HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, etc.) for both traditional browsers and mobile devices within extreme use of "Cloud" for development and hosting (AWS)
- Understanding and experience with Cloud based development and hosting
- Source Code Control + Build (CI/CD) + Release Orchestration: AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild
- Sandboxes/Environment: Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, Production
- Understanding of object-oriented application design and relational database design
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies (Aha! and JIRA)
- Perform unit, regression, and performance testing (Junit/Jest)
- Strong ability to accurately estimate project development activities
- Prior experience with workflow or data transaction solutions, design, and development of microservices and writing reports with JasperSoft or similar is a plus
