Instructional Designer/Technical Instructor [Extension Program Coordinator] – Haskell Indian Nations University – Lawrence, KS

Datum Software, Inc. Government Solutions (GS) is currently looking to hire an Instructional Designer/Technical Instructor to support Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS! The University expects the Extension Program Coordinator to fulfill the Goal of the University and USDA as provided in the grant objectives. The overall goal is to provide much needed outreach and technical assistance to the Haskell students, neighboring tribes, and the rural and local communities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create, develop, and implement programs and presentations that are scheduled throughout the performance period.
  • Set up and establish the Extension Craft Room and adjoining office space.
  • Draft a Student Program Assistant (SPA) student intern's handbook.
  • Identify, plan, schedule, coordinate, and facilitate outreach programs that entail tribal and local communities. This would include any outreach programs that would be continuing education, collaborations with University of Kansas and Kansas State University (1862 Land Grant).
  • Work in collaboration with the Extension Project Director in the development of progress reports, monitoring Extension budget, and submitting Purchase Requisitions.
  • Recruit, schedule, train and supervise Student Program Assistants (SPA) that will assist in delivery and post to social media accounts and Haskell web presence.
  • Submit quarterly and annual reports to the Extension Director and
  • Sponsored Programs Compliance Office.
  • Submit/approve SPA compensation to appropriate authority.
  • Collect data on all events sponsored by the Extension Program.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Extension Project Director and the
  • stakeholders in providing information and guidance on activities and events under the Extension Program.
  • Represent the Extension Program at USDA and AIHEC annual meetings, seminars and trainings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in the areas covering teacher education
  • Master's degree in Teacher Certification
  • Prior work experience working with Native American college students, Extension programs, facilitation of workshops and training sessions
  • Prior experience in program evaluation and proposal development is required
