Job Description
The Janitorial Associate will completecleaning and sanitation services within the meat processing plant in a quick and efficient manner. Custodian duties will include washing and sterilizingmachinery,equipment and areas used in dailymeat processing operations along with other miscellaneous duties as directed by Plant Manager. A typical afternoon will be spent using a sprayer hose to cleanmachines, floors, surfaces, and walls.
Flexible hours between 5-11pm with shifts lasting approximately 4 hours.
A Typical Workday May Include:
- Frequently lift/move hoses, equipment, chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs. throughout each and every work shift.
- Exposure to chemical cleaning solution (with protective gear).
- Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc.
- Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose a direct threat to the health and/or safety of the sanitation worker or any other person.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up 25-50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a cold or hot environment
- Ability to stand on concrete for extended periods of time
