Medical Review Physician (Home Working Project)

Job Description

The physician medical reviewer will provide medical evaluation ofseriousindividual casesafety reports,aggregate safety reports,and signal detection reports,as well asparticipate in medical safety surveillance.The physician medical reviewer will maintain distinctive quality and commitment as the operating philosophy in carrying out all processes.

• Perform medical review of seriousindividual case safetyreports
• Review of aggregate safety reports for medical content and possible safety signals(both periodic and ad hoc)
• Provide input into a system/process to allow for detecting changes/potential changes in the safety profile ofclient’s product(s)
• Review signal detection reports and participate in signal review meetingsasrequired
• Assist in the creation, review and implementation of documents and/or tools to align and improve pharmacovigilanceprocesses
• Review and provide support for Risk Management Plans
• Provide support to QPPVs/LPPVs,as required
• Maintain an awareness of current legislation associated with pharmacovigilancerequirements
• Participate in any client and/or Regulatory Inspection/auditasrequired
• Other duties asassigned

Qualifications

• Medical degree
• Currenthealthcare license or equivalent
• Preferred: Drug safety experience
• Preferred: Experience working with safety databases
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Working knowledge ofglobal regulatory authorityguidelines for post-marketing drug safety surveillance
• Excellent medical knowledge
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organization and prioritization skills; able tomultitask
• Strong decision makingskills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinaryteam
• Able to occasionally work extended and/or flexible schedule to meet clientrequirements

Candidate must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

This is fixed term contract through June 30th, 2022.
