The NIC Division of Tyler Technologies is currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join the team. The Network Engineer will work with a team as they design, implement, and maintain a functional and a secure network. It is expected that this role will participate in troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing network performance, establish sound methods for device patching, and develop configuration standards. The network infrastructure team is responsible for firewall management, load balancing, VPN tunnels, WAN connectivity, routers, switches, and VOIP.
Responsibilities:- Manage F5 Big IP LTM and GTM devices
- Create iRules, configure virtual IPs, pools and nodes
- Modify and enhance complex url redirects using irules and data groups
- Modify firewall policies on Checkpoint VSX series firewalls
- Manage Cisco routers (ISR and ASR), firewalls (ASA), and switches (catalyst and nexus).
- Respond to and execute work requests through Service Now
- Respond to and remedy incidents submitted through Service Now
- Design network resources around new custom application needs
- Provide expertise and support to customers as well as fellow IT employees in infrastructure as well as application development
- Network Device Management - SNMP, Netflow, Monitoring Device Uptime and Capacity Management
- On call duty, 1 week at a time rotating with a group of 7 engineers
- Cisco route/switch experience (HSRP, VPC, VLAN, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, 802.1x, Netflow)
- F5 LTM experience (Certificate management, iRules, Data Groups)
- F5 GTM experience (WIPs, Zones, creating records)
- Firewall experience (ASA, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto)
- Ability to interface and provide quality support to all partners and customers
- Strive in a fast paced, always changing, never standardized environment
- Enterprise level experience
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively and maintain updated status to customer
- 5 years technical experience in two relevant technologies or services areas listed above
- BA/BS or Associates degree in related technologies or services area
- Experience at an enterprise level company
- CCNA or CCNP (preferred but not required)
