Work Hours/Shift :Full Time, DaysYou Will Be Responsible For:Provides on-site supervision of all support staff personnel and oversees support staff processes
Assures Laboratory Outreach processes are established and followed
Coordinates the establishment of new client accounts
Monitors operational expenses and productivity related to Laboratory Outreach and support staff functions
Performs and insures problem resolution, troubleshooting, and proper documentation
Maintains appropriate staffing through scheduling work assignments and tasks
Establishes policies and procedures for support staff; assures compliance with established processes
Oversees supply inventory for outreach operations
Ensures quality of support staff functions by evaluating competency and coordinating training for support staff personnel
Performs employee performance appraisals and progressive discipline/counseling
Interviews and hires employees for support staff positions in conjunction with Human Resources and Laboratory Operations Manager
Participation and compliance with Laboratory Quality Assurance program
Demonstrates leadership and serves as laboratory representative and liaison
Assures workflow continuity through communication
Maintains regular dialog with Laboratory supervisory / managerial staff concerning quality, safety, and standard of behavior issues within the department and the organization
Demonstrates commitment to all department and corporate compliance policies, watches for potential problems, relays concerns to Director/Compliance Officer. Demonstrates commitment to appropriate behavior and is familiar with reporting mechanism
Demonstrates ability to accept and facilitate change
Facilitates laboratory testing to include; order entry, specimen collection, transport from clinics, receipt at laboratory, distribution to appropriate lab area, test reporting and account billing.
Follows established procedures for patient and specimen identification

QualificationsWhat You Will Need:Associates Degree Required
PBT ASCP Preferred
3+ years of clinical laboratory experience required
Job Summary:The Phlebotomy Outreach Services Supervisor facilitates phlebotomy services throughout Shawnee Mission Outreach by providing training & education to all laboratory staff. Provides consultative and operational oversight of laboratory outreach.The Supervisor promotes the delivery of high-quality laboratory services to patients, clients and other customers.
