Job Description
As a parent educator, you will serve as the link between the student, the teacher, and the family. Your main goal will be to become familiar with the student’s cognitive abilities and potential as well as their emotional needs so that you can advocate for the student and coach the family to serve the student in the most optimal way.
SALARY: $15.50/hourTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 8hours/day,12 months/year (benefits-eligible) REPORTS TO: Lead Parent Educator of Parents As Teachers ProgramQualifications
1. Prefer baccalaureate degree.
2.Demonstrated ability to work with young children and parents.
3.Certified through National Parents As Teachers Center.
4. Twenty hours of inservice per year.
