PC Support Technician

Link Solutions is seeking a PC Support Technician to join our Fort Leavenworth, KS.Must be a US Citizen Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.Non-remote (relocation incentive available)The PC Support Technician will provide various computer hardware and software services to end users, ensuring the seamless operation in support of the US Army Training Management Directorate. This exciting opportunity lets you contribute to cutting-edge projects while safeguarding our national security.Job Responsibilities:Responds to user inquiries and requests and provides technical assistance on PC systems, related hardware, software, and standard applications.Provides help desk information and support; determines the cause of the problem; offers temporary solutions if the problem cannot be resolved within an appropriate timeframe.Services support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.Support a variety of Information Systems projects, such as new system installations for a department.Installs, sets up or relocates, configures, troubleshoots, and supports PC/server hardware and software; installs and configures software upgrades; configures and performs tuning of operating systems to enhance PC performance; installs and configures network interfaces and Internet connections; diagnoses network cable and configuration problems.  Installs and maintains specialized software, including performing setup functions, developing associated file structures, report formats, and input forms, ensuring file security, performing data entry to populate associated databases, and documenting procedures.Coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.Implement and design an organization-wide set of standards for the implementation of future and existing information systems.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
