Plant Accountant

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Plant Accountant in Arkansas City, Kansas. This role involves coordinating quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be able to forecast monthly expenses, handle the standards roll-up, and perform general accounting duties. This role is crucial in supporting our financial team and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.Responsibilities: Coordinate Quality activities and operations to ensure regulatory compliances, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Analyze actual costs versus standard cost, ensuring materials are set at relevant levels. Review weekly Manufacturing Order Variance report and update daily the Product, Loss, and Damage report. Prepare re-class journal weekly and review cost center reports with management monthly. Identify, resolve, and forecast inventory reserve on a weekly basis, and complete the inventory reserve for month-end. General accounting duties including journal entry preparation, month-end closing tasks, and reconciliation of inventory and financial reporting. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field

Minimum of 2 Years manufacturing experience

Experience with Great Plains is preferred
