Job Title: Quality Assurance SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented and knowledgeable in industry-standard quality assurance practices. The position offers a direct hire opportunity with a competitive salary.Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to processes and procedures as set forth within the QMS.
Report and analyze activities related to QMS metrics and maintain relevant documented information.
Coordinate and administer QMS training.
Assist with and facilitate 3rd party and customer audits.
Perform internal audits, excluding processes where the Quality department is the process owner.
Gather and analyze nonconformance data and facilitate root cause corrective action activities to reduce variation, errors, and waste.
Professionally communicate with machine operators, supervisors, programmers, and management regarding process effectiveness, product conformity, manufacturing/programming errors, and improvement opportunities.
Ensure measurement equipment is properly stored, maintained, calibrated, and appropriately labeled.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Essential Skills
High school diploma
Proficiency in reading and interpreting industry standards and specifications
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
Experience with AS9100 QMS requirements
Knowledge of Discus FAI software is helpful
