You will be member of the Trauma Med team. Accountable and responsible for the delivery of consistent flow of trauma patient(s) through the Emergency Department.

• ·Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
• · Meets the expectations and assumes accountability for all ongoing job responsibilities
• ·Balances unexpected tasks while performing ongoing responsibilities under ordinary direction and minimal supervision
• ·Stays current and proficient on job related knowledge, skills and industry changes
• ·Assumes accountability for identifying problems and issues, generating solutions and anticipating effects of decisions
• ·Actively participates and oversees performance and process improvements for patient care with departments, disciplines, trauma mid-level providers and traumas surgeons
• ·Participates in monthly multidisciplinary meetings and process improvement meetings
• ·Assists with or performs review of the medical record of all traumas patients, collecting required data for entry into the trauma registry
• · Ensures accuracy and completeness of the registry data prior to submission of the data tool to state and national agencies
• ·Works collaboratively with Health Information Management to ensure accuracy of coding and assigns scores and enters all injuries utilizing the AIS and ICD-9 scoring systems
• ·Precepts and orientates newly certified TNCC RN's and actively participates in improvements in the orientation process

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• Current licensure in the State of Kansas a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• For RNs in Dept 61310 – Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course within allotted timeframe
• Previous acute care experience
