Department: Associate Travel Program - RRT
Schedule: Multipleshifts available, 36 hours per week
Hospital: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals
Location: Requires travel to multiple locations over 50 miles from your home
This position is a permanent, full time position made up of 8-13 week travel assignments - not a short term option or temporary contract. Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.
RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credentials:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following: Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credentials:
Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Additional Preferences
One year of recent experience strongly preferred.
Travelers must be willing to travel 50+ miles from permanent residence.
Travel positions require travel to multiple locations and could include assignment selections in: Alabama, Illinois, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin
