DescriptionThe Medicare Advantage Actuarial Model Team is seeking a Senior Software Quality Testing Engineer that will be uniquely focused on maintaining and improving testing and overall quality of the pricing model. The Senior Software Quality Testing Engineer thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements. The Senior Software Quality Testing Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.The Medicare Advantage Actuarial Model Team owns the MA pricing model, which generates annual pricing of Humana's largest segment of business - individual plan Medicare Advantage. The team consists of actuaries and business professionals who are proficient with SQL Server databases and working within IT scrum and DevOps processes. The team works closely with a group of IT professionals to enhance the pricing model to support CMS bid filing and regular forecasts of Humana's MA business.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Software Quality Testing Engineer isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree

5 or more years of technical experience

Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements

Experience in all phases of software testing (SIT, UAT, automation) and SDLC process

Proficient at communicating software quality clearly through data and key performance metrics

Can effectively communicate across business and IT departments

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, Agile Development Methodologies and MS Azure DevOps and QTest

Experience problem solving and consultation within complex environments

Facilitating cross-functional teams' efforts

Master's Degree of Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field

Certifications related to Agile Development Methodologies and software testing

Additional InformationHumana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
