Individual contributor to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of payment applications, focusing on UI development and implementing UX best practices as defined by company and industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, wireframe, functional prototyping and implementing scalable, high-performance web, mobile and desktop application UI's applying modern design principals.
- Work with various development and support teams to troubleshoot issues.
- Meet with product teams and stakeholders to help translate requests to actionable requirements.
- Assist QA groups to automate UI testing and verification.
- Maintain, support and upgrade Legacy applications as needed.
- Work closely with other team members in a geographically dispersed team using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies
- 3+ years software development experience building responsive/rich Internet applications in a .Net focused environment.
- Expertise with Bootstrap is a must and familiarity with other front-end frameworks such as Material framework, Materialize, etc. is desired.
- Developed code components in .Net, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3(using preprocessors SASS or LESS) across all major browsers
- Enjoy converting visual designs to HTML with an acute eye for detail and design fidelity
- Solid understanding of Responsive Web Design principles and proven in responsive layouts (CSS3 Media Queries) and progressive enhancement/graceful degradation techniques
- HTTP, DNS, REST, AJAX, with an emphasis on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and UI architecture
- Experience with implementing the front-end using .NET framework, ASP.NET web forms, MVC and C#
- Comfortable with JSON, Restful API invocations and consuming Microservices.
- History with front-end JavaScript frameworks and technologies (Blaze, Angular, React, node.js, npm)
- Familiarity with one or more front end functional, performance and regression testing tools such as CasperJS, Selenium etc.
- Able to navigate and utilize GIT based code management systems.
- Experience leveraging Azure and AWS services a plus.
- 5+ years combined school and/or experience in technology related field
- Ability to explain the reasoning behind the design choices based on design principles, human factors, and best-known methods
- Strong analytical and logical skills to analyze requirements and deliver design
- Comfortable with asynchronous work environment requiring self-motivation
- Good Communication skills to be able to interact with multiple teams, understand their requirements, and transform requirements into features.
