Description A non-profit organization is looking for an Accounting Manager with strong management experience in the Lexington, SC area. This role involves strategic planning, budget development, and overseeing the financial health of the organization. The successful candidate will handle all internal and external financial, accounting, tax, and reporting functions, as well as manage HR functions.Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and management of day-to-day business operations. Develop, implement, and administer accounting policies and fiscal strategy. Prepare annual departmental and ministry budgets in line with strategic plans. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, monthly income statement and balance sheet, bank accounts, investment and tax reporting, and individual contribution records. Coordinate and supervise the annual budget process in collaboration with different departments. Monitor the overall operating budget. Oversee purchasing function by monitoring budget spending and supervising payables processing. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and communicate financial status to relevant committees. Manage investment funds to ensure maximum return while balancing socially responsible investments. Oversee HR functions and benefits, including retirement plan offerings, medical and liability insurance carriers oversight, and employee leave records maintenance. Manage the interview and new hire process. Cultivate strategic partnerships that may serve the financial needs of the organization and community. Maintain discretion and confidentiality while working with highly confidential information and conflict situations.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ERP Solutions Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Billing Functions Capability to supervise and lead an accounting team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred Supervisory experience Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
