Adecco Search has partnered with a global manufacturing leader to recruit and hire an Advanced Tooling and Stamping Engineer in Louisville, KY.This role is responsible for leading Engineering processes for metal stamping, tooling and press.They will oversee the entire lifecycle of Capital Projects involving mechanical transfer presses and progressive die presses. They will also be highly involved in New Product Development projects and Product Launches.Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Lead the conceptualization, procurement, and installation of significant metal stamping presses and associated auxiliary equipment projects.

Focus on optimizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through well-designed equipment.

Ensure equipment aligns with industry standards and governmental Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations.

Collaborate with functional leaders to align projects with strategic business initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Ergonomic Design, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Collaborate across functions to establish Manufacturing Control Plans (MCP) and Manufacturing Control Instructions (MCI), integrating Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) principles.

Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies to elevate project outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

8+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

3+ years of successful project management with large metal stamping equipment including mechanical and servo transfer presses, and progressive die presses.

5+ years of experience in progressively complex Metal Stamping projects.

Proven ability in specification development, supplier selection, technical evaluations, equipment installation, and qualification processes.

Proficiency in procuring press auxiliary equipment like transfer systems, coil feeders, leveler systems, de-stacker systems, etc.

Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., AutoForm, T-sim) and relevant input parameters.

Prior experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.

Anticipate 15-20% travel, both domestic and international, for supplier site visits and plant engagements.

Flexibility for off-shift work, shutdowns, or occasional weekends based on project needs.
