Title: Application Development ManagerLocation: Erlanger, KY (Hybrid Role)Length: Permanent Position This person has to define the standards on software to be used to develop applications, technology used to get the applications into the hands of our users. Without standards and ways to monitor our developers will bring in whatever tool they want and we end up with chaos and no way to support it long term. So they need to know the technology and can't just be a manager. When a bug is found, they should be able to work with the team to determine why so they can identify opportunities to coach or fix a procedure. They are looking for an individual who has experience managing software development people, coaching them and setting standards which the development team must follow in order to develop bug-free code. They need measurable results to be established and then actionable coaching where they are not hitting standards.This individual must develop coaching solutions for 3 Junior level developers to improve their skills and develop better code. This person also needs to work with 2 existing people who have 5-7 years of experience but need to conform to better standards for excellence in code development. Note: they also have 1 additional spot open for a Senior level developer. More spots could be made available upon justification.This individual must establish a co-op program where students are brought in to work 20+- hours a week while in school and for multiple years if progressing. Their goal is to identify students who want to develop, train them, and upon graduation hire them full time.Their technical environment is React, Typescript, and JavaScript to develop web applications hosted in AWS with MS SQL databases, lambdas and other tools.
