Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Billing Clerk in the Construction/Contractor industry. Based in LEXINGTON-FAYETTE, Kentucky, you will be responsible for crucial tasks such as processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. This role will also involve monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications Maintain precise customer credit records Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer credit accounts to identify any inconsistencies Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Enter timesheets into Excel and upload for the payroll clerks for verification and billing purposes Create all bills for the customers, requiring a strong command over MS Excel Communicate effectively with management in the fields, building strong professional relationships Assist with the billing side for the clients, using skills in MS Word, and MS Outlook Handle heavy data entry tasks and use numeric skills to ensure accuracy. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Billing Clerk in the construction and contractor industry Proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel Experience in in-house payroll processing Demonstrable skill in numeric data entry with a speed of 8,001 - 10,000 KPH Solid understanding and experience in billing processes Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated problem-solving skills Familiarity with construction industry standard practices and procedures related to billing High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or training is a plus.
