As part of the team, you will have access to an unparalleled network of resources and endless opportunities to collaborate on exciting projects with diverse teammates from across the globe.This OpportunityWSP is seeking a junior level (5 years+) Civil 3D Design CAD Engineering Technician candidate with computer aided design (CAD) capabilities and meaningful experience in earthwork and infrastructure design to support our growing Civil Engineering Design practice.Primary focus for project work will be to prepare design, permitting, and construction drawings for various infrastructure and solid waste projects. These include, but are not limited to, site civil including site grading and drainage, utility design, and familiarity with national and local codes and requirements, roadway design, storm water structures e.g., ponds, impoundments, dams, etc. and swales, ditches and diversion channels. Project work will include site grading, volumetric calculations, cost estimating and report writing.Your ImpactWork within multidiscipline design teams on wide variety of civil and civil / environmental projects including site development, infrastructure, landfills, stream restoration, soil and groundwater remediation

A minimum of 3 years’ experience preparing design / construction drawings using of Autodesk AutoCAD® Civil 3D®

Develop surface models and earthwork quantities with AutoCAD® Civil3D®

Adhere to discipline-specific CAD standards

Erosion and sediment control and storm water permitting

Work with Team to help prepare project permitting documents for local, state and federal permits

Work with Team to help convey results and findings by means of oral discussions, graphic-based presentations and project documentation

Design or redesign complex layouts and drawings from general written or verbal specifications from project team

Work with project team to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs and make corrections to the drawings as requested by the senior staff

Interact with coworkers, clients and prospective clients while conducting work in a professional and ethical manner

Who You AreRequired Qualifications5+ years civil / environmental design experience preferred

Ability to prepare design specifications and drawings

AutoCAD® Civil3D® knowledge, experience and proficiency

Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings

Ability to read, comprehend, prepare construction drawings and technical specifications

Knowledge of materials of construction and developing construction details

Excellent communication, both verbal and written and organizational abilities

Willingness to accept responsibility and additional support tasks

Strong dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting company safety culture

Knowledge or understanding the principals of surveying is a plus

Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, if / as required

Ability and willingness to travel to project sites

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
