34756BRTitle:Contract Coordination SupvJob Description:This position can be located in Ashland, Hazard, or Pikeville.Coordinate and oversee contractor work on the distribution or transmission system, including one or more of the following functions at the district level: system design and related technical activities, construction, maintenance, operations, and/or retirement. Utilize company and contract personnel in the preparation and safe completion of work related to customer requests and reliability of service. Ensure the safe, reliable construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and transmission facilities.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:1) Supervise and coordinate the operation, maintenance, and construction of the electric system to ensure that high service reliability and prompt service are provided.2) Monitor and promote the safety practices of Company and contractor personnel.3) Manage contractors by assisting to locate, evaluate, and select vendors; monitor and control their performance.4) Lead, coach, and direct employees in a manner that ensures they maintain a customer focused attitude, can convey a thorough understanding of customer expectations, and instill in them the importance of achieving superior customer satisfaction.5) Develop and train employees.6) Communicate with internal/external groups to solve the electric service-related requests.7) Coordinate and monitor the acquisition, use, and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.8) Manage the distribution system inspectors and/or Transmission Construction Reps for the area of responsibility.9) Manage contract line recourses during emergency restoration.Auto req ID:34756BRRelocation:NoLocation:Pikeville, KYJob Type:Full-TimeJob Category:Energy/UtilitiesMinimum Requirements:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Education requirements are listed below:High school diploma or GED required. Two-year technical degree preferred.
Work Experience requirement listed below:Five years' experience in distribution or transmission construction, maintenance, and/or operations. Two years' experience supervising contract resources (crews) preferred.Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:Valid state motor vehicle license and an acceptable driving record.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Physical demand level is SedentaryTravel by car within OPCO with overnight stays as necessary. Occasional travel to other operating companies. 2. Good PC skills, ability to use a variety of software and database applications. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Products, such as Word, Excel, and Power Point. 3. Overtime required to complete assignments. 4. Respond to service restoration events and coordinate resources.
