Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Controller in the manufacturing industry, located in Hebron, Kentucky. This role will involve monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. As a Controller, you will be actively involved in evaluating, recommending, and executing improvements to our cost accounting practices and procedures.Key responsibilities: Monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements Evaluating and assessing cost accounting practices and procedures Recommending and implementing improvements to cost accounting practices and procedures Establishing and monitoring financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards regularly Coordinating and overseeing the preparation of financial statements Coordinating activities of internal and external auditors as needed Assessing current accounting operations and offering recommendations for improvement Implementing new processes for accounting and internal control systems Establishing a budgeting process and managing the receipt and payment of all invoices, payments, and billing Developing and enforcing internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow Providing senior management with information vital for the decision-making process Supervising performance regarding accountant reconciliations and other accounting functions including reporting. Compiling statistical data to support footnotes to company financial statementsRequirements 5+ years of managerial accounting experience including month end close, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology Background in manufacturing industry preferred Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
