If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and directing engineering projects, as well as holding relevant certifications in their field.Responsibilities:– Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure successful project completion– Develop and implement engineering strategies and plans to achieve company goals– Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering projects– Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations– Manage project budgets and timelines– Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members– Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancementsJob Requirements:– High school diploma or GED; 6-years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 4-years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.– Relevant certifications in Engineering (e.g. Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, etc.)– Proven track record of success in managing and directing hotel maintenance projects– Strong leadership and management skills– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills– Ability to work collaboratively with other departments– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills– Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancementsCareers at Avion HospitalityAvion is a fast-growing Hotel Management company looking for smart, bright and fun people to join our team.
