Our client's Software Engineering team develops technologies that directly impact the overall business needs of both internal and external customers within the logistics space. This team will be responsible for the development of new integrations, Architetcting a SAAS product for new external Business to business customers, lead a team of highly technical professionals, and a leadership style that will blend IT initiatives to the overall business strategy for their end customer. We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering with expertise overseeing developers as they perform design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of full-stack applications while also working alongside the business teams to help build strategies and meet project deadlines. This position will focus on supporting development teams by managing standards and best practices, advising on technical approach, clarifying requirements for projects, and setting forward-looking architectural direction for our client's application development strategy. Required Skills:Must have at least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering ManagementMust have experience working in the Sports Wagering and Gaming IndustryMust be willing to manage a team and also be hands-on in the project workExperience structuring full-stack application processes and procedures with both internal and external applicationsStrong knowledge of Java development and knowledge including Full-stack design and development, maintenance, and new features and products enhancementsMust have strong verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to work with business leaders and non-IT key stake holders to plan and design application best practices and design structuresMust have experience leading a teamMust be willing to come onsite on a Hybrid work schedule Desired Skills:Bachelors Degree or Higher Education is highly preferredLegacy modernization project experience is a plusExperience in an enterprise environmentStrongly preference someone Designing and Developing in a Cloud Environment - AWS
