Work with in the Digital Products and Services Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) Technical System/Field Engineer Department. The AGV Field Engineer will support from a technical Software Systems and Device perspective in a variety of projects and Robotic Technologies that support critical business processes for Internal Logistics using Auto Guided Vehicles/Automated Mobile Robots/Vision Guide Vehicles. Initiate and facilitate Solution Architecture Design (SAD) meetings and assist with facilitating design and build for all pre-requisites, hardware, software, networking, file share, communication protocols to allow for manufacturing robots to integrate with line-side manufacturing systems and data center assets and cloud platform Responsibilities Include: Technical Systems/Field Engineer will be responsible for providing mid to senior-level system engineering leadership. Ensure the overall stability, integrity, and efficiency of assigned system(s) including software engineering, implementation/integration, and technical service/support . Focus on contributing to and supporting AGV workstreams including Tactical Projects, Operational Systems, Governance & Sustainment and Strategic initiatives. Tactical Project support will include working with AGV Vendors on upcoming or inflight projects. Operational Project Support will include working with AGV Vendors on deployed projects. Governance and Standards will include working with AGV Vendors to develop, maintain and ensure deployment of standards to projects and AGV vendors. Strategic Initiatives will include working with AGV Vendors on future technical initiatives and emerging technology proof of concepts. For example; make recommendations on more scalable systems design and cloud first approach for solution of delivery models. Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability. Implements warranty and support activities. Evaluates the existing systems and provides the technical direction to IT support staff REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Must have exp as an industrial Network Systems Engineeer with either PLC systems or Controls systems networks exp. Exp working with various Wi-Fi card technologies, including Siemens, Moxa, and/or Intel etc. PLC is required. Located in either Lexington, KY or Princeton IN or San Antonio, TX (Hybrid) Must be able to travel between 40% -50% in the US and Mexico, possibly to Canada (Valid US Passport required). Must have obtained Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification Strong experirence with Networking infrastructure, having installing, configuring and testing operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability. Evaluates the existing systems and provides the technical direction to IT support staff Must have experience working with various WiFi card technologies, including Siemens, Moxa, and/or Intel etc. Must have Cloud experience Understands of various operating systems including Windows, Linux and Docker. Must have coding, command line and scripting experience. Experience using enterprise monitoring tools to help diagnose and troubleshoot issues (Example Data Dog or other tool) Able to correlate logs from various systems and help sequence and break down operating issues and identify countermeasures. Must have Scrum/Agile experience. Strong problem-solving skills with methodical approach to breaking down complex issues. Must have good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve highly advanced complex issues in support of business processing requirements. Able to analyze business requirements to develop in partnership all stakeholders solution architecture designs. Warehousing/ Production Manufacturing Experience Education: Computer Science degree majoring in systems engineering or relevant technical education or experience. Ideal Candidate will have the following experience: 3+ years experience in an Automotive Manufacturing setting or other Engineering based Manufacturing setting. Experience in AGV Robots and Systems. Scrum/Agile Experience Exposure to Industrial Networking including PLC systems and controls systems networks. Siemens Wifi Card Knowledge, Will have Cisco Device knowledge Enterprise Network Qualification and Experience in LAN and WIFI Certifcation: CCNA. Will have experience working in agile or Kanban in JIRA.
