Logistics Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Georgetown, Kentucky. As a pivotal part of our logistics team, you will be tasked with a variety of duties, ranging from dispatching and data entry to customer service in a call center setting. This role is crucial in our logistics and distribution section, dealing directly with freight carriers and handling shipping and receiving tasks. This is a 3rd shift opportunity with a Tuesday to Saturday with a 12am-8am schedule with some overtime available. Apply today to be considered! Responsibilities Dispatching duties including coordinating and scheduling freight carriers. Accurate data entry related to logistics operations. Providing top-notch customer service in a call center environment. Handling tasks related to logistics and distribution. Coordinating shipping and receiving activities. Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action. Addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly. Collaborating with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations. Assisting in maintaining accurate customer credit records. Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.Requirements Proficiency in dispatching operations within the logistics industry. Demonstrated skills in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with freight carriers and logistics & distribution processes. Experience in shipping & receiving procedures and protocols. Strong customer service skills, preferably gained in a call center environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. High school diploma or equivalent required, further education in logistics or related field preferred.
