Technical/Functional Skills
  • Mainframe application development experience in design, development, testing and debugging with mainframe skillset like COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS , abendaid etc
  • Interact with business and other IT teams to understand business requirements and translate to formal technical documents and application code.
  • Able to create high- and low-level design for medium to complex application by referring Requirement documents.
  • Good experience in programming in COBOL and DB2
  • CICS knowledge is preferred.
  • Worked on various data files/ tables such as VSAM, GDG, DB2 tables etc.
  • Able to work in offshore onshore model and lead offshore resources to project delivery thru SDLC cycle.

    • Experience Required:- 3-5 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development. Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

    Roles & Responsibilities
    • The Mainframe Developer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Mainframe Developer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
    • The Mainframe Developer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
