Manpower Engineering seeking a

Process and Product Quality Engineer for our client in the Owensboro, KY area. Direct hire position with outstanding relocation package. Six figure base plus 5-10% bonus.

Overview of job duties:

  • Will be working on tolling, recovery, and process management projects.
  • Will be working on automating settings and a new trimmer set up in the upcoming year.
  • Time will be spent 50/50 on the floor and at a desk. Will be primarily focused on process improvement
  • Responsible for the definition of all process settings which must be used to ensure stable and robust quality in efficient processes.
  • Identify and lead capability improvement projects.
  • Lead major quality or process improvement projects taking into account safety, costs and environmental constraints, as well as the effects on subsequent installations.
  • Support quality and efficiency improvement projects from other departments (production, technical services, six sigma).
  • Initiate and verify process changes and validate all process changes within primary assigned installation following MOC and change management.
  • Assist production, when necessary, to perform root cause analysis or trouble shooting in a structured way to solve internal and external non-conformities.
  • Accountable for implementation of corrective actions in relevant processes resulting from claims and non-conformities.
  • Manage process settings through several hundreds of parameters in department to ensure stable and capable processes.
  • Responsible for the setup of a system of process control of all relevant sub processes to ensure stable performance in time.

Here's a summary of who we're seeking:

  • B.S. Degree - Mechanical Engineering preferred. Open to Electrical or Chemical.
  • Relevant experience in either process or quality
  • Very important for the candidate to have strong technical knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical processes.
  • Very important to have slitting, leveling, coiling experience (any type of metal is good, but aluminum would be a huge plus)
