Our CompanyBrightSpring Health Services OverviewThe Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining records of routine accounting transactions by preparing and posting journal entries, researching the general ledger and completing account reconciliations. This position will also assist in the analysis and interpretation of accounting records for use by management and assist in the month end close process.Responsibilities Complete the Month-end close process, including account reconciliation and journal entries, ensuring all records are completed accurately and timely Supervises accounting staff Maintain a system of controls, procedures, and forms for transactions in accordance with GAAP, including partnering with the field to ensure proper accounting of all transactions Identify, develop, and implement internal controls focused on continuous improvement to drive ongoing gains in quality, accuracy, and efficiency Prepare annual and quarterly audit schedules Work effectively with internal and external auditors on inquiries and preparation of requests Partner with other functional areas to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals Responsible for additional accounting subject areas as assigned Provide supervision and oversight to staff accountants as required Performs other tasks as assignedQualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in AccountingExperience/Qualifications: Required: Prior Accounting or related experience Desired: Three to five years’ experience in AccountingLicense/Certification: Desired: CPAKnowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Knowledge of General Accounting and GAAP; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, and related accounting software; outstanding financial reporting and analytical skills; knowledge of internal and external audit requirements Desired: Knowledge of Oracle Fusion systemsAbout our Line of BusinessBrightSpring Health Services is a leading provider of complementary home and community-based pharmacy and health services for complex populations in need of chronic and/or specialized care.
