Guidehouse Insights delivers customized market research and consulting projects—helping our clients leverage market research to make strategic decisions and engage their customers.The Senior Research Analyst will function at the Guidehouse Managing Consultant staff level supporting Guidehouse Insights Built Environment Technology Insights team.The Senior Research Analyst is responsible for managing a research service within Built Environment Technology Insights. This includes producing a research roadmap, managing the collection and analysis of market data, and leading custom research projects. The analyst provides deep understanding of energy and sustainability and energy services, including turnkey energy efficiency, onsite and offsite renewable energy procurement, sustainability advisory, and scope 3 decarbonization services. Suitable candidate has a deep understanding of various commercial, policy and regulatory issues that impact the built environment technologies value chain, specifically related to ESCO energy savings performance contracting, energy as a service, and power purchase agreements. The Senior Research Analyst has a prominent reputation within the energy industry and is actively engaged in collaborating and conducting analytical research and writing, consistently delivers work of the highest quality, within budget and on time. Senior Research Analysts are well-regarded, established experts concerning markets for emerging technologies. The ideal candidate has experience managing projects, including project budgets, timelines, client communication and delivery quality deliverables.Core Responsibilities:

Collecting, synthesizing, and translating information from varied sources into cohesive commentary on the market size potential and impacts of technology trends.

Authoring research reports, white papers, and other professional literature for a variety of audiences within the energy efficiency, intelligent buildings, ESCO sectors.

Producing quantitative analyses and market forecasts.

Developing roadmaps for future research to be published in a subscription service.

Shaping, pricing, and conducting customized market research projects.

Conducting interviews with representatives from building technology manufacturers, utilities, standards organizations, and industry stakeholders.

Working with business development staff to grow client relationships and client base.

Marketing subscription services and expertise via press interactions, conference presentations, contributed articles to industry publications, and blogs.

Work closely with research teams and ensure consistent and good working relationships exist, providing a mentoring role for research and sales & account management colleagues who have a different reporting line.

Ensure development of client engagement skills and processes across the team.

Build and lead a high impact, dedicated custom solutions and delivery team.

Promote and encourage others to value differences when working in diverse teams.

Full lifecycle recruiting.

Building relationships with managers and candidates.

What You Will Need:

A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, business, economics, engineering or related disciplines.

At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience including relationships with relevant industry players.
