The Senior Technician is a key contributor to the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS) within airport baggage handling operations. This role demands advanced mechatronics expertise across electrical, mechanical, and control systems. The Technician provides hands-on support, system diagnostics, and technical leadership to ensure seamless baggage flow and minimal downtime. This role will support the BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS) at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).Responsibilities:Perform routine and advanced maintenance on BEUMER ICS components, including ICS elements, diverters, scanners, and third-party equipment used to interface with the system.Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems using structured troubleshooting methods.Respond to system interruptions caused by carrier jams, sensor faults, or control logic errors; execute resets and root cause analysis.Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with BEUMER Group standards and OEM documentation on the ICS system.Interface with BEUMER’s High-Level Control (SAC) and PLC systems to monitor performance and execute logic-based interventions.Inspect system health using diagnostic tools and performance dashboards; recommend optimizations to improve throughput and reliability.Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, fault trends, and spare part usage in compliance with reporting protocols.Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Quality Control standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements.Communicate clearly with Shift Supervisors and cross-functional teams regarding system status, escalations, and improvement opportunities.Support system upgrades, and updates, including hardware retrofits in collaboration with engineering and OEM representatives.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including failure mode analysis and reliability-centered maintenance reviews.Execute additional tasks or projects as assigned by management or supervisory staff.Compensation Range: $25.00-$31.00 hourlyThe posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position.
