This individual will foster positive engagement across social media platforms. In addition, the Social Media Specialist will work with the Communications team to develop a plan for social media content that shares the story of how senior living changes resident lives and how our organization creates communities where employees thrive in their work, helping our residents thrive in their homes.

Partner with the Communications team to develop monthly social media plans.

Research content topics to ensure all information posted online is factual and well-informed.

Build relationships with community employees to source local social content.

Support community social media pages through employee training and content creation.

Write engaging social posts that are appropriate for each platform, in line with brand/campaign messaging.

Select and edit appropriate imagery for social posts.

Review social content with stakeholders.

Develop responses to negative comments on social media.

Monitor ongoing trends in the social media world and provide recommendations for future content.

May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Three (3) or more years of experience in social media management and copywriting.

Extensive understanding of each social media platform's mechanics, audience, and trends.

Strong organizational and logistics skills.

Proven storytelling ability, and ability to write effective communication and messaging.

Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills.

May be required to travel up to 5% of the time on behalf of the Company.

Travel time is subject to change based on business needs.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).

Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company motor vehicle policy standards and Travel Policy.
