Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of financial responsibilities, including but not limited to, managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. Responsibilities: Manage and process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date Prepare and record journal entries as needed Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely reporting Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards Analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounting processes. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Experience with Bank Reconciliations and managing Journal Entries. Familiarity with General Ledger operations and Month End Close procedures. Proficiency with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively communicate with colleagues and management. Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous. Proven track record in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing and operational use. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data and create financial reports and forecasts. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
