Minimum Requirements:Bachelors of Science in Engineering10 years Industry Experience in Restraints SystemsPreferred:Masters of Science in EngineeringNew Technology and Application Readiness for all commoditiesDrive imporvement and robustness to foundation documents (FEDE, HIR, FMA, SDS, etc)Establish Training in Restraints Commodities and deliver training to global engineersManage and reduce FSAs and Improve QualityMust have strong mentoring and teamwork skills
Must be a self-starter with strong leadership abilities and interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Should have excellent analytical skills relative to determining the crash worthiness performance of restraint hardware, and it’s interactions with structure, occupants and vehicle integration/packaging. Those skills should have a Regulatory and Corporate Requirement emphasis
Must have strong problem solving skills and able to lead a cross functional team in analyzing data, finding root cause and presenting the finds clearly.
Should have broad background knowledge of customer wants/needs, emerging technologies and safety/regulatory trends.
Should have working knowledge of safety analytical tools including CAD, CAE, ATDs and testing methodologies and statics.
Must have a foundational understanding of primary hardware manufacturing techniques; die casting, injection molding, textile wrappings, wiring and connector manufacturing, stampings, generate forming, gas filling and textile sewing/cutting.
Should be able to lead product creation utilizing Ford concept creation process for developing Implementation ready/application ready technologies
