Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for our client New Orleans, Louisiana. This role primarily involves processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries in the commercial real estate industry. The role also includes monitoring customer accounts and taking action when necessary. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications Maintain precise records of customer credit Research and resolve any issues related to customer accounts receivable Prepare and analyze aging reports Place billing and collection calls as required Maintain the cash receipts journal and ensure its accuracy Update and reconcile the sub-ledger to the General Ledger Perform basic accounting tasks including accounts payable and payroll liaison activities Post and balance financial data in various ledgers Input timesheet data and verify documents and codes Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reportsRequirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management is a necessity Familiarity with Billing procedures is essential Proficiency in Cash Applications is desirable Experience in Cash Collections is required Knowledge of Commercial Collections is a must Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy is essential Excellent organizational skills are required Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial Prior experience in a similar role is desirable Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks is essential Strong problem-solving skills are required Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is a mustRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
