Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is within the industry sector and requires proficiency in various skills, including Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections. The workplace environment is dynamic and fast-paced, where you will engage in diverse roles and responsibilities. This is a short-term contract opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage account reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency Actively engage in Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, coordinating with other teams as necessary Oversee the billing process, ensuring all invoices are released timely and accurately Conduct cash applications, ensuring payments are applied correctly to customer accounts Manage cash collections, tracking all transactions and ensuring accurate record keeping Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data and generate reports Engage in commercial collections, liaising with customers and resolving any discrepancies Support in maintaining accurate customer credit records and updating the database as needed Proactively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Address customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly and maintaining high levels of customer satisfactionRequirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Billing procedures Skilled in Cash Applications Knowledge of Cash Collections procedures Experience with Commercial Collections Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and reliability Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Previous experience in a similar role is preferred Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is a plusRobert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
