DescriptionThe Director, Actuarial Pricing is responsible for actuarial services related to Part D Models, Data, & Tools, as well as pricing for Part B Rx. This includes developing and maintaining pricing models for Individual MAPD & PDP business, as well as our Group Part D lines of business. These projection models support Humana's bid development process, quarterly intra-year pricing projections, and annual budget projections. The Director, Actuarial Pricing requires an in-depth understanding of how organizational capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.ResponsibilitiesThe Director, Actuarial Pricing leads a team whose primary focus is to build and maintain all of Humana's Part D pricing & forecasting models. These models are used to project Part D financials that are used by finance, market leaders, and senior executives across the organization.The Director will collaborate heavily with their peers and maintain strong relationships and lines of communication with key stakeholders. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects related to the future of Part D modeling.The Director will review Part B Rx pricing results, suggest ways to improve forecast accuracy, and collaborate regarding new to market drugs, flu & covid tracking, and with our other Part B partners.The Director will collaborate with partners throughout the enterprise to test and promote the use of new technologies, including Machine Learning/AI.Required QualificationsFSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, extensive work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations
MAAA
8 or more years of technical experience
5 or more years of management experience
Demonstrated leadership capability, has led sizable staff before
Experience in leading other human capital leaders
Strong Communication Skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Experience in more than three functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending) and more than one product.
Medicare Part D experience preferred
