IRG is seeking Three (3) - Business Analysts (unemployment insurance) for it client at Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Role: Business Analysts (unemployment insurance) Duration: 2 years 8 months expected to start on 11/1/2021 and end 6/30/2024. Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana Contractor should anticipate to work on-site an average of five (5) full business days per month Responsibilities:
- Elicits, analyzes and documents customer business needs and requirements in order to produce an accurate business case for the project.
- Work with customer and quality assurance to identify needed test data and develop test cases that ensure expected functionality and features are validated before and during User Acceptance Testing.
- Performs GAP analysis to determine if business requirements are being met.
- Performs special tasks as assigned. This includes such tasks as assisting with preparation of highly complex specialized reports and serving on data conversion and quality assurance teams.
- Define and document business functions and processes.
- Analyze the integration of business functions with technology.
- Assist with business case development and business process reengineering.
- Consult with management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements.
- Recommend new processes that yield operational efficiencies.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis.
- Develop or assist with project work plans, project timelines.
- Identify and document relevant business processes contained in legacy application data systems.
- Identify approaches to addressing legacy processes in new, modernized application development environments.
- Recommend eliminating, retaining, or enhancing business processes.
- Minimum (one) 1-year experience working as a Business Analyst in an Agile Environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Minimum (one) 1-year experience writing complete User Stories, including descriptions and acceptance criteria based on requirements gathering
- Familiarity with Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR)
- Familiarity with Jira
- Familiarity with Jama and/or Zephyr testing systems
- PMI-PBA or CBAP certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing Projects utilizing Software Development methodologies such as but not limited to: Waterfall, DevOps, Extreme Programming, Rapid Application Development, Agile Development, etc.
- Experience in unemployment insurance including but not limited to benefits, tax, appeals, benefit payment control, data validation, and program management.
