Church Youth Director

Are you an energetic and passionate Christian who loves teenagers and is an out-of-the-box thinker? Jefferson UMC is seeking a Youth Director to help develop an effective youth ministry

Responsibilities:

The Youth Director will have responsibilities for all ministries and programming for youth in grades 6 - 12. This individual will organize and help facilitate a Sunday morning class for youth; Sunday evening programming for youth; and, engage in outreach to youth in our community.

Qualifications:

Demonstrates a strong commitment to the faith, and leads by example

Prior experience leading a youth program

Demonstrated ability to take initiative

Adept in using social media as a communication and outreach tool

Team player who works well with others

Excellent written and personal communication skills

United Methodist preferred

Must pass a criminal background check

Must be age 23 or older.

Compensation:

This is a 1/4 time position. 10 hours per week. $12,000 per year.
