Our growing company is looking for a skilled electric motor mechanic to disassemble, inspect, re-assemble, and test 3-phase electric motors. The ideal candidate has previous work experience with electric motors, pays great attention to detail, is good with his tools, reliable, and can complete certain tasks within a required time frame.

Responsibilities include:

- Disassemble, inspect, and document failures of 3-phase electric motors

- Proper handling of motor bearings, rotors, and other critical components

- Know how to safely test run electric motors & handle shop machinery.

- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner

- Assembly, documentation, and final testing of 3-phase electric motors

- Experience with ball, sleeve, and thrust bearing design motors a plus

Ideal candidate has:

- Proven work experience as an electric motor mechanic

- Experience with ball, sleeve, and thrust bearing design motors a plus

- Is good with hand and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers, mics)

- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and can thoroughly follow job instructions.

- A strong commitment to safety guidelines

- Very responsible with good communication skills

- A problem-solving ability

- Very good physical strength and stamina

Job Type: Full-time, minimum 40+ hours per week

Salary: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour (based on previous experience)

Electric Motors up to 2000HP: 8 years minimum experience (Required)
