Finance Professional 2 - IT Finance (contract labor & capitalization)

DescriptionThe New Cost Pool Team within IT Finance (contract labor & capitalization) was been created to further streamline the Close, Forecast and Budgeting Processes across IT's major cost categories that include: Contractor/Associate Labor and Capitalization, Software, Depreciation, Hardware, and Other Costs. The Cost Pool Team will be responsible for managing all processes related to those costs and will ensure that all financial data is properly loaded to each reporting view and is accurate for financial reporting. They will partner with the IT Apps/Tower Teams on a regular basis to gather feedback on all Forecasts, Budgets, and Long Term Plans. They will coordinate all load processes to the corporate tools. They will be responsible for all Position Management within IT and will provide routine reporting for all Billable/Non-billable resources. The Cost Pool Team will continue to focus on process improvement and auditing existing processesResponsibilitiesThe Finance Professional 2 (contract labor & capitalization)provides financial insights and make recommendations to support business decisions and develop effective strategies, with an overriding goal to create value for the company. The Finance Professional Role will work in a consultative role with various departments in creating effective reporting and analyses in order to improve processes, create efficiencies and proactively provide business partners data/metrics/cost information to identify and influence areas of financial improvement. They will support the month end close process including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting actual versus budget and forecasts. They will collaborate with business partners in developing methods and criteria for measuring/summarizing financial data and preparing valuable analysis in a dynamic environment. They will maintain and review various system reconciliations between source systems and financial and operational reporting processes. They will support special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships. They will establish, foster and maintain working relationships with peers and management within Finance.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or related

2-4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role (general financial modeling, forecasting, etc)

Proficient in manipulating financial data for analysis and reporting

Intermediate level user with a relational database (Access, Oracle or other)

Advanced level user with Microsoft Excel (as defined by pivot tables, sort/summarize large amounts of data, v-look ups)

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred QualificationsCPA or MBA

Advanced level user with a relational database (Access, Oracle or other)

Previous health insurance industry experience working in a Finance/Accounting department

Experience with Sql, Access Databases
