Flour Moon Bagels is seeking a full-time prep cook who can work a few line shifts a week. We are a high-volume, positive and upbeat environment and need someone who works well as a team. We all take pride in the food we serve and are looking for someone equally as passionate who wants to learn and grow with us.
Expectations:
Assists Lead Prep Cook and Kitchen Lead with daily projects
Has good communication skills and is willing to lend a hand when asked
Stocks line with proteins, sauces, cream cheese, spreads, pickles, and more
Ability to keep up with the demands of a fast-paced kitchen
Ability to multi-task and complete assignments in a timely matter
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to properly read and execute recipes to company standards
Knowledge of food safety protocols, knife skills, and cleanliness
Proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment (mixer, blenders, meat slicer, scales)
Occasionally check in deliveries and put away when needed
Maintain a clean an organized workspace
Willing and eager to learn the menu and train on the line
Prior high-volume kitchen experience
Prior line cook experience is preferred
Hourly pay DOE, plus tips. Tips are shared equally among front and back of house, based on hours worked per shift (averages an additional $7-9/hour). 10 days PTO per year is provided for full time employees. Shifts are typically 6:30-3:00, 5 days per week. closed Wednesdays.
