Full Stack Software Engineer Team Lead

Position Description We are a team that demands technical excellence, whose members are encouraged to hold each other accountable for the overall success of the end product. As the Technical Team Lead for the Global Data Retention Team, you will be leading a very hardworking team that is passionate about using technology, analytics and platform design principles to develop a highly-scalable solution for leading our information's lifecycle, specifically the demise of the data. In this role, you will be encouraged to collaborate with a variety of technical leaders across the whole organization, our Legal and Privacy Partners and Enterprise Data Governance on defining and executing on a shared vision.

Focus for this team is on the delivery of innovative solutions to sophisticated problems, but also with a mind to drive simplicity in refining and supporting of the solution by others. This is not a group that takes care of technology from a distance - everyone is encouraged to roll up their sleeves and get to work on implementation. The candidate must have the love for learning as technology is constantly evolving so that they could provide direction to use the right technology at the right time.

Your future duties and responsibilities A passion for healthcare and the potential for technology to improve peoples' lives!The skills to deliver enterprise and/or platform systems in a variety of scenariosExperience in distilling sophisticated ideas into an architectural and implementation plan, and then delivering it outThe ability to critically evaluate the trade-offs and implementation impacts of emerging vs. more established technologiesTasks and ResponsibilitiesProvide direction, mentorship and technical leadership guidance to the development teams during application development life cyclePerform sophisticated application design in the latest techniques and technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Python and Machine learning.Apply expertise and research designs with domain experts to devise requirements, design specifications, and usage criteria for Big Data solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role 4+ years of Big Data programming skills utilizing various languages such as C, Java, Python, Scala along with ability to pick up new languages - Past proven programming work.

4 + years implementing Data solutions - Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Oozie, MapReduce, Apache Spark etc.

4 years of experience deploying enterprise applications

2 years of experience with Build and Deployment automation (CI/CD)

Experience with technologies like GitHub, Jenkins, Docker etc.

Solid understanding of Cloud services (AWS, Azure etc.)

Collaborate with business, legal, IT partners and developers to find the best solution possible.

Expertise in designing business intelligence systems, dashboard reporting, and analytical reporting is also a plus.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required

Background in systems architecture

Open source savvy, possessing experience using common open source libraries/frameworks.Expertise in object-oriented analysis and design.

5+ years software development experience with ETL and Data platformsKnowledge and experience designing and developing large-scale solutions
