Lab Technician

Actalent is currently hiring "lab technician"in theSaint James, Louisiana, 70086, United StatesJob Description:

Conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests of solid materials, liquids, and gases

Analyzes test data for quality control and establishing standards. Sets up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, research or process control

Tests and analyzes products to determine strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics.

Analyzes materials and substances, such as ores, minerals, gases, soil, water and pollutants.

Documents results of analyses via LIMS.

May prepare chemical solutions for use in processing materials, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

BS Degree in Chemistry preferred

0-6 mos of experience post college or more experience without a degree

Valid Driver’s license is required

TWIC Card or Ability to obtain one on their own
