Landscape Maintenance and Installation Field Crew Position Available

Landscape Design/Build/Maintain Firm (32 years in business) seeks qualified, EXPERIENCED applicants for its field crew. MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND BE WILLING TO DRIVE OUR CREW AND TOOLS AROUND IN OUR PICKUP TRUCK, MUST LIVE WITHIN 15 MILES OF UPTOWN NEW ORLEANS, MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION, TO AND FROM OUR OFFICE FOR WORK.

YOU ARE NEEDED IMMEDIATELY

No transportation to or from our office for work will be provided.

No meals provided on the job.

THIS IS STRICTLY PART TIME WORK, including installations and detailed horticultural maintenance of landscaped beds, not much lawn care. Hours currently averag between 20 and 30 hours of maintenance per week, but will increase substantially during installations.

Maintenance work includes the usual tasks Pruning, weeding, mowing, edging, cleaunup.

We do not apply pesticides or do work in trees above the fifteen-foot level.

Installation includes excavation, soil preparation, offloading trucks, and planting of trees, shrubs, perennials, ground covers, and laying sod. There are currently two installations in the near future, with strong possibilty of more soon.

We generally work 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, ONLY ON WEEKDAYS.

Starting pay for qualified, experienced landscapers willing to drive crew in our truck is $20.00 per hour.

If you have a truck and agree to occasionally use it on the job for transporting tools, materials, or crew, we pay $0.55 per mile. (No mileage paid for your commute to or from work, only from &to office to job site andbetween job sites during the day).

If you are a licensed landscape horticulturist, in the state of Louisiana starting pay will be higher.

There are no benefits.

Good opportunity for landscapers who need more hours and want additional experience in the upscale residential landscape design, installation, and maintenance business. Also, for someone who has another part-time job and has some solid landscaping experience.
