Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Skills: The ability to perform routine patient care functions such as baths, taking temperatures, pulse and respiration and blood pressures. One to four weeks of on-the-job training at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital in order to become familiar with job responsibilities and duties, the work area, and policies and procedures. Must be able to follow routine written and/or verbal instructions. Must have interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with patients of the following ages: Pediatric (8-12 years); adolescent (13-17 years); adult (18-64 years); and geriatric (64 years and above); physicians, other hospital personnel as needed to promote quality patient care.
